Quality:
Quality is first and foremost with both our products and services. Scott
Machine has been committed to quality improvement since 1946. While
we are a “built-to-print” manufacturing operation we work
closely with our customers on product design, as we understand that
quality must be designed into both the products and processes. Customers
rely on our experience and our expertise with metals, heat treating
and metal finishing; adding value and quality into their product design.
Our quality department has ASQ trained and ASQ certified personnel (CEQ,
CQM, CQA) and they are fully capable of meeting all requirements of
APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning). Lean Manufacturing techniques
are deployed and integrated within our Total Quality Management System.
Our Quality Policy is “Scott Machine Inc. will grow customer loyalty
and market share by supplying defect free products to our customers,
on-time, every time”. We have quality and business objectives,
which are regularly tracked and reviewed monthly at our management review
meetings.
Scott Machine Inc. is registered to the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management
System standard, as well as fully compliant to the AS 9100B (SAE) Aerospace
Quality System requirements. Our ISO Registrar is SAI Global.
We have a full service, 900 square foot, state of the art Quality Assurance
Laboratory, complying with ANSINCSL Z540-1 Part II and ISO 10012-1.
Capabilities include all standard mechanical measurement devices (such
as micrometers, vernier calipers, plug gages, etc.); several Optical
Comparators; multiple Hardness Testers; Profilometer; Laser Micrometer;
Sunnen Hole Gages; Thread Gauging (Ring and Plug gages, Tri-rolls and
Segments); and a Brown & Sharp CMM machine.
